Summary for 2024

The year 2024 was another fruitful year for our Analysis & PDE Center at Ghent University. Here, we summarise the main highlights from this year.

Some statistics for 2024:

  • Our website analysis-pde.org had more than 29,100 views and 13,300 visitors in 2024
  • We had more than 30 speakers in Ghent Methusalem Seminars for 2024
  • More than 100 presentations were given by our members and guests in our weekly Analysis & PDE group seminar in 2024
  • Members of our Analysis & PDE Centre in 2024 attracted again around €1,000,000 in funding, with a FWO Senior Research Grant, FWO-FAPESP Bilateral Scientific Cooperation Research Grant between Belgium and Brazil, a BOF Fellowship, Belgian Government Global Minds Grant, and a number of further awards and prizes for their research
  • 12 volumes have appeared in 2024 or are in press in our series “Research Perspectives Ghent Analysis and PDE Center” in Birkhäuser’s Trends in Mathematics
  • 6 successful PhD defences in 2024 under the supervision of Prof Michael Ruzhansky
  • We organised 3 international conferences, workshop “Women in Mathematics“, several specialised workshops, and 2 large summer schools, including Ghent Analysis and PDE Center meets Caucasus
