Huge Congratulations!

We are absolutely thrilled to congratulate our PhD student Markos Fisseha Yimer on successfully defending his PhD dissertation at Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, and Licentiate from Karlstad University, Sweden!

As one may recall, Markos made a long-term visit to our Ghent Analysis & PDE Center last year, advancing his work on his PhD dissertation “Integral equations and inequalities with refinements of some classical results“.

This continues our work towards supporting Mathematics in developing countries.

Today Feb. 9, 2024 is one of the special days in my life. I successfully defended my PhD dessertation at AAU. This will give me a chance to start a new chapter of life.

I would like to thank my supervisors, Prof. Sorina Barza and Prof. Lars-Erik Persson from Karlstad University, Sweden, Prof. Michael Ruzhansky from Ghent University, Belgium and Dr. Tsegaye Gedif from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia for your continuous professional support and genuine care during my studies.
