About the course

You are kindly invited to participate in the Doctoral Course “Advanced Studies in Harmonic Analysis and PDE”. We especially warmly encourage PhD students to engage in this event, but researchers in all stages of their career are very welcome. The program combines structured mini-courses with discussion sessions on current research directions.

The course provides advanced training in harmonic analysis and partial differential equations, while fostering international scientific exchange and collaboration. It is organised by the Ghent Analysis & PDE Center with support from the Doctoral School.

Lecturers

The planned lecturers are:

  • Mitsuru Sugimoto (Nagoya University): Restriction theorems and related problems in PDEs
  • Zhirayr Avetisyan (Yerevan State University): Heat and resolvent kernels on Riemannian manifolds of exponential volume growth
  • Paula Cerejeiras (CIDMA & University of Aveiro): Harmonic analysis over Tsallis q-Fock spaces
  • Cătălin Cârstea (National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University)

Learning outcomes

Participants will gain advanced insight into selected current topics in harmonic analysis and partial differential equations, including contemporary methods and open research directions. They will strengthen their ability to connect techniques across related areas of mathematical analysis and to identify recent developments in a broad international context within their research field.
